2008th On 24.-25. For seminar Polli Horticultural Institute. The seminar was also attended by horticulturalists from the Latvian team.
The main theme of the seminar is the situation in Estonia and Latvian fruit cultivation, apple storage technologies, recycling options. Acquainted with the Institute for fruit storage facilities, where it is possible to store apples in a modified gas atmospheres, or so-called ULO technology (from English to ultra low oxigen) where oxygen is only 1-3%. ULO technology can be used 2 large rooms with a capacity of 40-60 tons, “pallet” system (2-3 m3 of fruit is placed in large bags of film) and also in small chambers (capacity about 60 kg) to test out. The ULO technology introduced in detail a representative from the Dutch.
The next day visited several fruit processing plants. It was possible paviesoties both large enterprise “Põltsamaa Felix” (part one of a group of “Spilve”), and small business ‘Bacula’, where delicious jams are produced by one Rivium and one boiler.
2008th On 26th September Seminar on Pure fruit storage and processing. Guests also came from Estonia.
Visit hp “Rifleman”, which took note of cranberry farming and processing. Built on-site processing of farm, using a small, but powerful enough equipment. Pure workshop discussed the situation in fruit processing, became acquainted with the trials of apples in storage. In conclusion, the workshop participants took part in Michael’s vakartirgū, which offered a taste of both varieties of apples and jams and juices.
Michael’s vakartirgus Pure. Event organized to encourage domestic producers’ production profile. The market took part in farms, processing companies and the craftsmen. Events added attractions and workshops for children, lotteries, auctions, and various performances.
2009th On 26th March Seminar fruit growers in Tukums.
The seminar audience GoodFruit present the project, the Latvian-Estonian programs and other EU funds, options, apple storage technology, plant protection and fertilization of fruit growing importance of quality, new plant breeding technologies, market research opportunities.
2009th On 18th and 19. was held Polli Horticultural Institute of the pilot recycling shop opening.
Under the measure, a seminar was held and the processing of their products exhibition, which was also attended by Latvian companies hp-Lase, hp hp Strelnieku and Buttercups. The seminar theme was fruit-processing of both new products and new technologies in traditional manufacturing.
